Who we are
FADEC International is a joint venture between BAE Systems and Safran that focuses on the two companies’ capabilities to design, produce, and support Full Authority Digital Engine Controls for commercial aircraft engines.
The FADEC solution is a redundant, multi-channel digital computer which governs engine fuel flow, controls variable engine geometries, interfaces with the engine thrust reverser, and performs advanced functions such as electronic engine over-speed protection and extensive engine monitoring.
Our heritage companies have demonstrated experience designing and certifying FADECs for commercial and military aircraft since 1986. Today, FADEC International continues to be successful with an engine control fleet that exceeds 28,000 controls with more than 800 million flight hours of outstanding reliability and performance.
